IETS is a professional forum for the exchange of information among practitioners, scientists, educators, regulatory officials, livestock breeders, suppliers of drugs and equipment, and students. Members of the Society are engaged in the practice of embryo transfer in a variety of species, and in research on embryo production, transgenesis and cloning, on mechanisms regulating embryo development, and on development following embryo transfer.

This years meeting was mainly dedicated to genome editing, cloning and stem cells. There were a lot of interesting talks about dog, horse and camelid cloning by B. C. Lee, A. Gambini and N. A. Wani.
Monika Nõmm and Marilin Ivask had a poster presentation about „Transgenic SCNT blastocyst selection with embryo biopsying”.
The conference ended with an exciting key note presentation from Justin St. John about “The mitochondrial genome: How it drives fertility”.
And ofcourse it is always nice to see collegues from UCPH Poul Hyttel and Lotte Strøbech.
