20th Annual Conference of the European Society for Domestic Animal Reproduction (ESDAR) and the 13th Conference of the Spanish Association for Animal Reproduction (AERA) in Lisbon, Portugal from October 27 - 29 2016. Ants Kavak from EMU participated in ESDAR and AERA Conferences. He also participated in October 30th 2016 under the EU framework 7 project FECUND-PROLIFIC Final Conference that was held as ESDAR 2016 Satellite Workshop  on Topic “Innovations to improve dairy cow fertility”. During these conferences and workshop Ants met with the colleagues all over Europe, from United States of America and Australia etc. He met with lot of colleagues working in the field of animal reproduction. He had a special meeting on topic of ovum pick-up with prof Geert Opsomer, dr Jan Govaere and dr Osvaldo Bogado Pascottini. As a result of these contacts EMU was able to improve their ovum-pickup results and quality of collected oocytes.There was also a discussion with prof. Mark Growe (president of ESDAR) and dr Primoz Klinc (secretary of ESDAR) about organizing ESDAR meeting in Estonia.
